LAUGHTER:
THE BEST MEDICINE
Certain images automatically bring a laugh out of even the saddest,
most melancholic people. If you look at the cover of Star* Publish LLC's latest release, you will undoubtedly smile, then
chuckle a little, and then laugh out loud.
Yes, a dolphin is one of those endearing creatures that has that effect
on people.
This is a young adult/children's book, but as an adult, you can enjoy it too.
Just pretend that you are a kid again. Journey with the author out into the waters off the coast of Georgia to explore another
world--a world of trust, teasing and delight. By the time you get to the last page, you will wonder which one is smarter,
you or the dolphin.
For other Star* books that are full of fun, check out Catherine MacDonald's Road
Queens, Sam Zane's Chico's Tales (as told by his imaginary dog), Queen Jaw Jaw's A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way to the Throne, or almost any Janet Elaine Smith novels. Her And We'll Call Her General Leigh has
been pegged a "Civil War romantic comedy."

TIME TO CELEBRATE
Star Publish LLC celebrates the first anniversary
of Janet Elaine Smith being on staff as Marketing Director. Janet has accomplished a lot in the year she has been with Star.
As Star’s Marketing Director, Janet came up with the idea for the innovational Shooting Star Books Program, which is
available to all Star authors on an optional basis. In order for the SSBP to work, Janet needed to accomplish an almost impossible
task—getting Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Hastings to approve Star books for stocking on their shelves, as well
as independent bookstores. Janet has always said that accomplishing the difficult happens quickly, but accomplishing the impossible
takes a tad longer. Janet succeeded with her “Mission Impossible” and took the Shooting Star Books Program and
ran with it. Due to Janet’s daily phone calls to the bookstores, Star books can now be found on the shelves in bookstores
across the nation. One of the most popular features with bookstore managers is the amount of information that is available
to them on the Shooting Star Books Program online catalog they can access. Way to go, Janet!

CONGRATULATIONS!
Kristie Leigh Maguire's Affairs of the Heart is once again in the top-10 listing on Amazon.com for erotic romances. While
investors watch the Dow Jones for rankings, authors watch Amazon to see where they fall. Affairs of the Heart closed out the

IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY
Many community theaters and performing arts centers already have their programs lined up for the next year. However,
there are some that don't, and are looking for Christmas dramas.
A Christmas Dream: A 3-Act Play is now available for groups that want a good clean family holiday drama. If
you have one in your community, please do Star* authors Janet Elaine Smith and Billie A. Williams a favor and suggest it to
the groups in your area, or email billie@billiewilliams.com or janetelainesmith@yahoo.com with the information.
And if it comes to your area, by all means, make plans to take it in. It will have you believing that miracles still
do happen, especially at Christmas time.
Many reviewers and readers have compared A Christmas Dream to Miracle on 34th Stree, and reviewer Ron Berry
says "It will have you laughing, crying and feeling good all over. It should come with a warning: be sure to take a box of
Kleenex with you." Even Santa gets a Christmas present!
