Star* Publish Times

Vol. 2, Ed. 4

First it was the computer. Then it was the Internet. Then came e-groups, which were followed by blogs. The latest craze on the Net appears to be "trailers." The most popular place to post them is at .
What exactly is a trailer? Have you ever gone to a movie that has had rave reviews, but you found the previews of "coming soon" far more appealing? Those previews are called "trailers." And now they have overtaken the Internet, as well as the movie theaters.
Not to be left behind, Star* Publish LLC's owner, Kristie Leigh Maguire was the first Star* author to have her own trailer. Kristie has a new version of her hot books, Desert Storm and Cabin Fever, which has just been released as a single "Collector's Version." It is now titled Affairs of the Heart. (You can see a review here.) To view the trailer for Affairs of the Heart go here:

Kristie's trailer was done by , a woman who lives more than halfway around the world--in Australia. You can see Kristie's trailer here. Even if you live in sub-zero climates, this one is guaranteed to heat you up.
Star* Publish LLC's Marketing Director, Janet Elaine Smith, soon followed with not one, but three (so far, with more coming) trailers. Like Kristie, Janet did not have the know-how to create her own trailers, but her talented friend Billie A. Williams came to the rescue, creating one for Janet's popular Patrick and Grace Mysteries (view at, one for her Keith Trilogy (view at, and another for her single titles (view at She will also soon be releasing a trailer for Janet's Women of the Week Series. (See a review for Monday Knight, the first book in the Women of the Week Series, here.)
It is almost a sure-fire bet that other Star* authors will soon be following suit with their own trailers. If the movie (or the best-selling books that have you tired of the same old thing) doesn't interest you, check out the Star* authors' trailers. We will announce others as they are released, so stay tuned.

Star* Publish LLC is proud to announce that they have made the proper arrangements with Lightning Source, Inc. (LSI) for Star* books to be available in the United Kingdom. While this has been an option that has been in place for several years, this is the first time Star* Publish has invested in it.

Perhaps you are wondering why now? A big part of it has to do with the fact that Star* Publish LLC has just signed their first British author: Dr. G. M. Masterson. His book, Alexander: Hall of the Gods, is a delightful time travel that goes from today to ancient Egypt.

If J.K. Rowling can live in England and sell her books in the U.S. by the millions, Star* Publish figures it should work the other way around for Star* authors. Besides, some of the Star* books do occur in the U.K. and the hopes are that they will do well selling "on the other side of the pond."

Star* Publish LLC is proud to announce the arrival of Gabriel Lyon, new baby boy born to Star* author Monte Lyon and his wife, Tanya. Congratulations! We can only hope he will turn into as fine a writer as his daddy.

Remember a few weeks ago we "exposed" Star* Publish LLC's owner, Kristie Leigh Maguire, of lying--or at least stretching the truth a bit? Well, we now have the goods on her. What was her deceptive disclaimer? It was that she was going to "slow down" and that Star* Publish LLC would be concentrating on quality, not quantity.

But, is there anything wrong with having both quality and quantity? Apparently not to Ms. Maguire. Here are just a few of the accomplishments that have already taken place, and it is barely February.

In addition, the Star* Publish website has an all new look. Check it out here. Ms. Maguire states, on the site, "Star Publish LLC is the wave of the future in publishing. At Star, you got people!" She further explains that the emphasis at Star* Publish LLC is shifting, placing the main focus on the authors and the books, rather than the company itself.
Yup, it's obvious the one who is affectionately referred to as "The boss lady" is taking life easy, just basking in the sun at some spa in the far south!
